This striking original by Bristol artist Signs takes one of the most recognisable objects in graffiti culture and transforms it into a bold piece of contemporary art.

Viewed from above, dozens of spray cans fill the artwork in a mass of colour. Pinks, yellows, blues, greens, reds and purples punch through the deep black background, with repeated stencil forms creating an almost abstract pattern.

There’s something brilliantly simple about the concept. The very tool used to create street art becomes the artwork itself.

At 84 × 59cm, roughly A1 size, it has real presence and is large enough to become a statement piece in a living room, hallway, office or creative space.

Signs is a Bristol-based artist whose work is heavily influenced by street culture, architecture and the urban environment.
