Created using spray paint, hand-cut stencil techniques and mixed media, Istanbul blends urban abstraction with architectural form to create a rich contemporary composition full of movement and texture.

The cityscape emerges through layered washes of colour, gestural mark-making and raw stencil details, with golden domes and towering structures drifting through clouds of spray paint and abstract lines. Soft blues, muted pinks, earthy tones and flashes of yellow combine to create a dreamlike interpretation of the city’s energy and density.

Every stencil used within the artwork has been individually hand cut, giving the piece a raw handmade quality impossible to digitally reproduce. This is a genuine one-off original artwork, not a print.
