Add Subtract – Because I'm Worthless
Signed Limited Edition Kurt Cobain Print | Edition 4/10 | 60 × 60cm | Unframed
A powerful limited edition artwork by British contemporary artist Add Subtract, celebrating the life and legacy of Kurt Cobain, legendary frontman of Nirvana and one of the most influential figures in alternative rock.
Because I'm Worthless combines contemporary pop art, grunge culture and graffiti-inspired collage in a visually explosive tribute to the musician who helped define a generation.
At the centre is a striking monochrome portrait of Cobain wearing his iconic white sunglasses, surrounded by an energetic collage of electric pink, turquoise, yellow, black and white.
The provocative words “BECAUSE I'M WORTHLESS” dominate the composition, reflecting the raw emotion, vulnerability and rebellious spirit associated with Cobain's music.
Throughout the artwork, references to Nirvana, Come As You Are, Something in the Way and the infamous 27 Club sit alongside angel wings, distressed posters, graffiti lettering and fragments of music history.
The layered imagery creates the appearance of a weathered city wall, covered in decades of street art, torn posters and cultural references. The result is a powerful visual narrative exploring Cobain's extraordinary influence and the complexities of fame.
The contrast between the vibrant colours and darker subject matter perfectly captures the spirit of the grunge movement, combining artistic expression with an unmistakable sense of rebellion.
Hand-signed and numbered 4/10, this limited edition print is one of just ten in the edition, making it a fantastic collector's piece for fans of Nirvana, alternative music and contemporary urban art.
Measuring 60 × 60cm and supplied unframed, Because I'm Worthless is a striking addition to any contemporary art or music memorabilia collection.
