The Sukinto Club – "This Game Is Fixed" Original

The Sukinto Club – This Game Is Fixed

Handmade Original Mixed Media Artwork | Genuine US Dollar Bill | Real Gold Paint Drops | Framed

A bold and brilliantly satirical piece of contemporary urban art, This Game Is Fixed by The Sukinto Club combines financial symbolism, familiar pop culture imagery and provocative social commentary to question the relationship between money, power and privilege.

At the centre of the composition sits a handmade, three-dimensional ice lolly-inspired artwork featuring the striking statement “THIS GAME IS FIXED” in bold black lettering against a vibrant green background.

The message is deliberately provocative, suggesting that the systems governing wealth, opportunity and financial success may not offer everyone an equal chance.

Beneath the typography sits a genuine American one-dollar bill, incorporating real currency into the artwork and reinforcing its commentary on capitalism, financial power and the pursuit of wealth.

Layered over the dollar bill is the instantly recognisable figure of Mr Monopoly, complete with his signature top hat, moustache and formal attire. As a familiar symbol of property ownership, wealth and financial competition, the character provides the perfect visual reference for the artwork's underlying message.

The combination of Mr Monopoly and the words This Game Is Fixed creates an amusing yet thought-provoking observation about modern society. It raises questions about whether financial success is determined purely by hard work or whether existing wealth, privilege and influence can give certain individuals an advantage.

The artwork's vivid green colour palette creates an immediate visual impact, while the dripping paint introduces a raw, graffiti-inspired aesthetic.

A bite-shaped section at the top of the lolly adds The Sukinto Club's characteristic humour, suggesting that even the seemingly untouchable systems of wealth and power can be consumed, challenged or broken down.

Beneath the central composition, a wooden lolly stick features Japanese lettering, referencing the project's distinctive identity and adding an unexpected cultural contrast to the American financial imagery.

One of the artwork's most distinctive features is the inclusion of real gold paint drops, positioned beneath the lolly. These raised, physical droplets introduce an additional three-dimensional element while reinforcing the themes of luxury, financial value and material wealth.

The minimalist cream background allows the vibrant green composition to command attention, while the contemporary black frame provides a clean, sophisticated finish.

Like much of The Sukinto Club's work, This Game Is Fixed uses humour, irony and recognisable cultural imagery to encourage viewers to question the systems and values that shape everyday life.

The familiar game of Monopoly becomes a metaphor for the real world, where property, money and financial advantage can influence who succeeds and who struggles.

Handmade and presented within a contemporary black display frame, This Game Is Fixed is a distinctive original artwork for collectors who appreciate street art, political satire, pop culture and contemporary art with a powerful social message.

About the Artist | The Sukinto Club

The Sukinto Club is a contemporary art project exploring the contradictions of modern life through satire, irony, consumer culture and thought-provoking mixed media artwork.

Drawing inspiration from Japanese culture and the visual language of contemporary street art, The Sukinto Club creates distinctive handmade pieces that combine familiar objects, playful imagery and provocative messages.

The name Sukinto is associated with a Japanese expression for being short of money, providing a fitting starting point for artwork that questions the relationship between wealth, happiness, material possessions and personal identity.

Through bold typography, recognisable financial imagery and unexpected combinations of materials, the project uses humour to challenge society's obsession with luxury, status and the constant pursuit of more.

Its distinctive approach brings together elements of pop art, street culture, conceptual art and contemporary design, transforming everyday objects into conversation pieces that encourage viewers to look beyond their immediate appearance.

The artist's work frequently explores the relationship between financial success and social inequality, using familiar characters and recognisable symbols of wealth to question whether modern society offers everyone the same opportunities.

By combining authentic currency, playful handmade compositions and deliberately provocative statements, The Sukinto Club creates artworks that encourage viewers to look beyond the humour and consider the deeper messages hidden within each piece.
