Bold, immediate and unmistakably street-led, Crown Graffiti by Banga Art strips graffiti back to its essential ingredients: colour, symbol and attitude.

A loose black crown is sprayed across an intense fluorescent pink ground, with overspray, softened edges and deliberate drips retaining the spontaneous character of a mark made on the street. Rather than overworking the image, Banga allows the simplicity of the crown to dominate the composition.

The crown has long been part of graffiti's visual vocabulary, associated with status, identity, confidence and claiming your place. Here it becomes almost abstract, reduced to a handful of gestural lines and dots against an uncompromising block of colour.

Executed entirely in spray paint on MDF, this is a genuine one-of-one original artwork, not a print or edition. The piece is signed by Banga on the reverse.
