Add Subtract – Made in Space

Unique Original David Bowie Mixed Media Artwork | 1/1 | Framed | 71 × 91cm

A spectacular original artwork by British contemporary artist Add Subtract, celebrating the extraordinary life and cultural legacy of David Bowie, one of music's most influential and innovative icons.

Made in Space combines pop art, street art, graffiti and mixed media collage in a striking tribute to Bowie's creativity, individuality and fascination with the extraordinary.

At the centre is an instantly recognisable monochrome portrait of Bowie as Aladdin Sane, complete with his iconic lightning bolt makeup. His intense gaze contrasts beautifully with the vibrant layers of colour and imagery surrounding him.

The composition features an explosive combination of red, electric blue, black and white, with distressed textures, graffiti-inspired details and carefully layered references to Bowie's extraordinary career.

Throughout the artwork, references to Ziggy Stardust, Life on Mars, Starman and Bowie's fascination with space are woven together with astronauts, lightning bolts, vintage imagery and expressive typography.

The bold statement “MADE IN SPACE” dominates the lower section, perfectly capturing the otherworldly identity Bowie created through his music, fashion and unforgettable stage personas.

With its distressed surfaces, torn-poster aesthetic and richly layered imagery, the artwork resembles a weathered urban wall celebrating decades of music history.

Part of Add Subtract's distinctive approach to portraying cultural icons, Made in Space explores more than Bowie's appearance. It celebrates his constant reinvention, artistic freedom and enduring influence on generations of musicians, artists and creatives.

A unique, one-off original artwork, this beautifully framed piece is a fantastic addition to any collection of contemporary urban art, music-inspired artwork or David Bowie memorabilia.

Measuring 71 × 91cm framed, Made in Space is a wonderfully expressive statement piece, combining authentic street art influences with one of music's greatest legends.
